White Fireplace Surround and Bookcase Cabinetry

Our Elmhurst customer was looking to remodel their fireplace and add some integrated flanking bookcases and cabinets to the sides. One of the challenges was creating an elegant look without being able to create floor to ceiling cabinetry. Similar to another project we completed, we were having to create cabinetry around a couple of awning windows.
We decided to end the top of the bookcase cabinetry just below the fireplace surround and mantel, keeping the focus on white shaker fireplace surround. White, full overlay shaker style doors with an ogee create closed storage in the base cabinets.
