Custom Mudroom Remodel in Chicago, Illinois

A Smart, Stylish Storage Solution for Everyday Living

This Chicago mudroom remodel transformed an underutilized lower-level space into a highly functional, beautifully customized entry zone for everyday life. The original room offered minimal storage and no defined organization, so our goal was to design cabinetry that blended efficiency, craftsmanship, and visual warmth. We introduced full-height built-in closets with adjustable shelving and a dedicated hanging area for coats, giving the homeowners concealed storage that keeps the room clutter-free. A natural walnut benchtop adds both utility and texture, while open cubbies and brass hooks provide easy access for shoes, bags, and daily essentials.

Inspired by calming, nature-forward tones, we finished the cabinetry in Sherwin-Williams Evergreen Fog, creating a soothing backdrop that elevates the space beyond a traditional mudroom. The result is a welcoming, durable, and highly personalized entryway that maximizes storage while seamlessly complementing the rest of the home.
