Designed to maximize space without sacrificing style, this custom Murphy bed and built-in cabinetry project in Naperville is the perfect marriage of function and form. The guest room now doubles as a fully functional home office, with sleek storage solutions and an integrated fold-down bed.

The two flanking built-ins feature open shelving for books and décor, plus lower cabinets with solid birch dovetail drawers and soft-close hardware. The left-side unit is customized with rollouts for file storage and a hidden printer station—ideal for productivity without visual clutter.

At the heart of the design is the Murphy bed enclosure, framed in warm alder wood with a custom 50/50 Provincial and Weathered Oak stain. The alder wood adds warmth and contrast to the surrounding cabinetry, finished in Benjamin Moore Evening Dove, a deep and modern hue.
